Meet Kübra: Founder of Be Free Electrolysis
Since I moved to Australia in 2022, my journey has been nothing short of transformative. I was once caught in a cycle of ineffective hair treatments, carrying the heavy burden of both time and money. I tried countless laser sessions, hoping for a lasting solution, but each attempt often made things worse or only provided temporary relief.
I became one of the many laser victims and dependents, facing the frustration and expense of treatments that did not deliver permanent results. Then, everything changed when I discovered electrolysis through Christine O’Connell of Clinical Electrolysis. The results were incredible; after just a few sessions, I experienced a freedom I had never felt before. No longer did I need to hide behind excess hair or worry about my appearance.
That sense of liberation inspired me deeply and ignited a passion to help others who are struggling with similar issues. I trained extensively with Christine, learning the knowledge, skill and art of electrolysis with dedication and love.
Be Free Electrolysis is not just a business; it's my promise to you. To help you regain your confidence and live freely, without the burden of unwanted hair. I understand your journey because I’ve walked the same path, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
Welcome to Be Free Electrolysis, where freedom and confidence begin.
Why Electrolysis Works
Electrolysis is the only hair removal method officially recognised as permanent by government regulatory agencies. Discovered in 1875 by Dr Charles Michel, electrolysis works by permanently destroying the germ cells responsible for hair growth through the insertion of a fine probe into the follicle and the application of a carefully calibrated electric current.
Modern electrolysis technology, such as Apilus devices, precisely targets these cells while protecting the surrounding skin, resulting in safe and effective treatments for all hair and skin types. This method is performed in clinical, private settings by certified electrologists who focus on delivering affordable, medically approved solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
The Apilus Platinum Pure technology works quickly and efficiently, offering permanent hair removal with unmatched comfort; a solution designed to help you achieve smooth, hair-free skin confidently and comfortably.

Electrolysis is a method of permanent hair removal that destroys hair growth cells in the follicle using a very fine probe and a small amount of electrical energy. It targets each hair individually, so once a follicle is properly treated, that hair will not grow back.
-
Electrolysis can be performed on almost any area of the body where unwanted hair appears, including the face, neck, chest, abdomen, back, bikini line, and limbs. Very sensitive or medically regulated areas (such as some moles) may require your doctor’s written approval before treatment.
-
Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are needed to treat all hairs in the active growth phase. The total number of sessions depends on the area, hair density, previous hair removal methods, hormones, and your individual response, but most people notice clear improvement within a few months of regular appointments.
-
The cost depends on the length and frequency of your sessions, as well as the size and density of the area being treated. Smaller facial areas generally cost less per session, while larger body areas may require longer appointments and a higher total investment over the treatment course.
Cost depends on:
The area being treated and the amount of hair
How long each session is (for example, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes)
How many total sessions you will need over time
A personalised consultation is the best way to estimate your total cost and plan your budget.
-
Most people start to notice softer, finer and fewer hairs within the first few months of consistent treatment. As more follicles are permanently disabled, regrowth becomes weaker and eventually stops, and complete clearance of an area is typically achieved over many months to a couple of years, depending on the starting point. Achieving full, permanent clearance of an area typically takes several months to a couple of years of consistent treatments, depending on the starting point. The exact number of sessions depends on:
The area being treated and hair density
Your hormones, genetics, and previous hair‑removal methods (waxing, laser, tweezing)
How consistently you attend your appointments and follow aftercare
In other words, the number of sessions you will need and how long it will take are different for every person and every body area.
-
Electrolysis can safely treat all skin tones and all hair colours, including very light, grey, red, and blonde hair that may not respond to laser.
Because electrolysis treats each follicle directly, it is not limited by melanin in the hair or skin.
-
Yes. Electrolysis is effective and appropriate for people of all genders and is commonly used by women, men, and transgender and non‑binary clients. Treatment plans can be personalised for a wide range of needs, from small facial areas to extensive body work.
-
Electrolysis is suitable for most healthy individuals, but some medical conditions, medications, or implanted devices (such as certain pacemakers) may require medical clearance or adjustments to your treatment plan. Pregnant clients and those with specific skin concerns are advised to consult their doctor before starting.
-
Areas such as the upper lip, bikini line, breasts, and some parts of the face can feel more sensitive during treatment. Sensitivity can also increase around menstruation, during times of stress, or if you are fatigued or dehydrated.
-
To make sessions more comfortable, it helps to arrive well‑rested and hydrated, avoid caffeine just before treatment, and keep the skin moisturised between appointments. For some clients, topical anaesthetic creams (used as directed) or slower treatment speeds can also help reduce discomfort.
